
According to admanGo, total adspend in Hong Kong reached HK$5.6 billion in January–February 2026, representing a notable YOY increase of 12% and successfully extending the upward momentum observed since the fourth quarter of 2025. Despite ongoing uncertainties in the external environment, which continue to weigh on the pace of consumer confidence recovery, advertisers have adapted to structural shifts in local consumption patterns by strategically allocating resources in response to varying market conditions. During peak festive seasons, promotional efforts are intensified, while in quieter periods, advertisers adopt cost management measures and flexibly reallocate resources to ensure sustained brand competitiveness across different economic environments. Supported by the strong festive atmosphere at the start of the year, alongside the absence of significant external disruptions, consumer confidence has shown signs of stabilisation, reinforcing advertisers’ confidence in launching promotional campaigns. Data indicates that among the top 10 industries, more than half recorded double-digit YOY growth, suggesting that the overall advertising market is gradually regaining stability.
